NADA QUE DECLARAR | NOTHING TO DECLARE

In this collaborative project, Mexican photographer Ingrid Hernández and Pieter Wisse printed at Taller California twelve Risograph posters that were distributed to drivers and pedestrians in the San Ysidro port of entry in Tijuana. The photographs that the artists used for the posters were taken by people who regularly cross the Tijuana-San Diego border. In the resulting work, Ingrid and Pieter played with certain elements (advertisements, slogans, commercial signs, phrases, social media of and about the border) to create an effect both humorous and critical. To see the posters and learn more about their project, click here.

Esta colaboración entre la fotógrafa mexicana Ingrid Hernández y Pieter Wisse consistió en 12 posters en Risograph, impresos en Taller California, que fueron distribuidos en la línea (San Ysidro). Los artistas usaron fotografías tomadas por personas que constantemente cruzan la frontera entre San Diego y Tijuana. Ingrid y Pieter incorporaron ciertos elementos característicos de la frontera (espectaculares, eslóganes, anuncios, frases) para crear un efecto humorístico y crítico.
